Hi,
do you plan to release this book under a free documentation license at any point?

I think Creative Commons by-sa-nc would be good enough.

I cannot promise anything, but I am trying to persuade my publisher to release the first edition under a free licence when the second edition is published (possibly with the release of etch). I will keep you posted, of course.

Ladislav Bodnar, Distrowatch: He does not come through as a person strongly advocating his preferred operating system - in fact, he freely admits that Debian might not be for everyone and other Linux distributions (or even other operating systems) might sometimes be more suitable for certain users and tasks.
